Met Joel through his FREE 30 minute consultation online. I explained my tax situation and he assured me it could be fixed by amending my return. I gathered all necessary documents and met with him several weeks later. We sat down face to face for the 1st time and he spent an additional 30+ minutes explaining what he did and answering all my questions. Since this process will take many months via the IRS insufficiency I won't know final outcome for a long while...... Up to this point, Joel has been AWESOME and HONEST in how these thing go. My husband and I had been going to Joel Medina for the past three years and up until this year he had been doing a great job but this year is a different story. It is now close to June and my husband tried multiple times to contact Joel to see how our taxes were coming. Most of the time he didn’t answer the call. We left multiple messages both on the phone and text messages and I think he responded once. Yesterday as my husband had to be in the area he decided to stop by and see if he could speak to him. When he got to the office he asked if Joel was there and the receptionist said yes so my husband asked if he could speak to him. He gave the woman a different name as he didn’t think Joel would come out if he knew it was my husband. When he came out to reception and saw my husband his face turned beet red and asked my husband to come back to his office. He was looking at the computer and my husband said it didn’t look like he had done anything with our taxes and he said no he didn’t. He gave the excuse that he had a lot of problems and if we wanted to take our taxes elsewhere we were welcome to meanwhile now we have to find another accountant when it’s almost June to do our taxes.
